Yesterday’s SAP Innovation Tour with BTP Brisbane was a great start to what will be a great series of events for anyone wanting to do more with the SAP Business Technology Platform. The opening keynote and accompanying customer panel by Head of Cloud Success Services (ANZ), Chris Peck, was an insightful look at how BTP is truly changing the game in when it comes to enterprises working the SAP ecosystem. The real-world examples in the customer panel paired with a smidgen of wit gave everyone food for thought regardless of their business’s level of commitment within the SAP BTP space.
However, in our humble and unbiased opinion, the star of the day was lunch our very own Des Fisher, who gave a great talk on the journey that businesses make when investing in SAP BTP. His knowledge and experience gave him a valuable perspective that he shared with a crowd of around 100 people. Leveraging the Compliance Documentation Application we have just taken to market, Des was able to give concrete examples of how SAP BTP has the potential to change the game for any enterprise.
To close out the day the very energetic and talented Sarah Rowan gave us a treat with a speed paint of the Brisbane cityscape. But the painting was secondary to a very entertaining and heartfelt talk about creativity and caring for yourself.
But events aren’t just for lectures, as interesting as they might be. Between talks there was plenty of time to mingle and meet the hosts, presenters and other players in the SAP BTP space. Between good company and good food, it was almost easy to forget that we were at what was primarily a work function. Truly the mark of a great event.
Special props must be given to our gracious organiser, Kym Boyle, who pulled together such a great event. If you are someone in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth or Auckland, you absolutely do not want to miss this opportunity to not only gain insight from some of the most knowledgeable people in the space and connect with other likeminded movers and shakers in the SAP BTP space.
